The Critters of the Field
The dogs are bullfighting, gotta watch out because there's something
Just now the teros were singing, someone was coming through the field
The harmful weasel has entered the henhouse
I've set up the trap, let it come back 'cause I'm waiting here
A little dead snake was being taken by a chimango
And the little calf was bleating because it was missing the cow
The calandria was telling, to the goldfinch and the dove
Watch out 'cause here comes Mr. Blackbird, the one who's never backed down
The lizard was eating the hen's eggs
Geese, ducks, and pygmies, that's why they never had offspring
A little ovenbird has made a nest on the roof of the houses
I look at it and it brings me joy how beautifully it passes with its nest
The cat caught a mouse in the banana tree grove
And the owl from a branch quietly watches him
