The Freedom Fighters

As masters of our own from birth to death
We knew no serfdom nor slavery
Until our freedom was threatened
By the dirty minions of tyranny

With one of the prince's lackeys
There was a fierce dispute one evening
Disregarding our ancient rights
That remained from our ancestors' time

His bold desire was rejected
For excessive taxes and foreign levies
We will resist all tyranny
With weapons and fiery anger

And soon after, in that same night
A bloody brawl began
The band of fighters set out
To break the tyrannical rule

This onslaught cannot be stopped
By cruel torture and miserable death
The furious army fights even for the children
With spears, bows, and swords for freedom, without need!
