Creed is an American post-grunge band formed in 1994 in Tallahassee, Florida, by friends Scott Stapp (vocals) and Mark Tremonti (guitar), joined by Scott Phillips (drums) and Brian Marshall (bass). Their rise to fame began with the release of My Own Prison in 1997, followed by the multi-platinum albums Human Clay (1999) and Weathered (2001). Human Clay features the Grammy-winning hit "With Arms Wide Open," celebrated as one of VH1’s top 25 ballads of all time and a defining song that earned Creed worldwide recognition.

The band sold over 60 million records globally, including 30 million in the U.S., earning 23 platinum certifications and a diamond record. Their albums consistently topped charts, with Human Clay listed among the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 200 greatest albums.
